The primarily method in every one of them is lethal injection. Some states also have back-up methods or give convicts a choice of firing squad, lethal gas, electrocution, and hanging. The main capital crimes are aggravated murder and crimes against the state (such as treason, espionage and large-scale drug trafficking).
