College carry laws, or laws that allow concealed weapons on college campuses, are quickly becoming more and more abundant. It’s not safer, the regulations make it almost impossible to make the weapons safer, and untrained students often hurt more than they help. Many people believe an armed America is a safer America. This is not true; however, since concealed weapons have been more readily available shootings and gun related crimes have increased. This applies to college campuses as well. Since laws have been passed, college shootings have increased. Then there is also the danger of mixing firearms and the alcohol fueled parties that are often occuring in college.
