Some people chose to live on campus in a dorm and others commute. I always imagined living in a dorm was what I watch for many years on television, but I’m here to say it not exactly like that. I personally feel that NEMCC dorm policies are a bit to controlling, but at the same time I do understand why we have strict rules for both male and female housing on campus. I don’t feel that as adults we don’t have freedom with the opposite sex. By that I mean, we can’t have the opposite sex in our rooms, only allowed in the lobbies of the dorms. I don’t think it’s fair if a person has a girlfriend or boyfriend, but if it were as homosexual couple they could be in the room together. As adults we should be allowed to have visitation and more privacy. I also understand that we have these rules for various reasons, but if sex and pregnancy is the main concern then we have bigger issues than
