Where students decide where to go to college should be a please they are willing to call their home. They should be surrounded by a positive environment filled with school spirit surrounding my fellow students and faculty willing to help them become successful and develop relationships. Above all, it should be a place where you will continuously grow as a human and grow as a leader once you receive your diploma. After transferring and only being here for one term, I can call this place my home. Not just because I live 5-10 minutes away from the campus, but because this college gave me the ability to express myself and a community that pushes me past my limits to become a an expert within the mathematics and secondary education fields and more …show more content…
I first decided to join the NCC Cycling Club and eventually became the club’s Vice President. My duties included cooperating with Dr. Nicholson, the club’s faculty sponsor, and our president, organizing the team’s service project, and being active through the club’s weekly practice that occurs on Thursday mornings. I am currently an employee for the NCC Recreation Center. I facilitate within the front desk, pool, and fitness center of the Recreation center. This job requires hourly check-ups, cleaning duties, and open communication between other employees and faculty members. I am a referee during the Flag Football intramural series during the fall term. This job required me to know all the rules to the game, identify any penalties, keep track of the score, and communicate professional between the other referees and players throughout the game. I am part of the NCC women’s track and field as a long sprinter/middle distance runner. I am also a part of FCA, a club that discusses on how to we apply our faith towards our sports and more important, our daily lives. Interpersonal is a skill that I use on a daily basis by interacting and discovering connections between my peers, co-workers, professors, teammates, and other individuals. For whatever I am involvement, I am fully dedicated to it. Whether that’s a club, sport, or academic course, I do my best as a North Central College to succeed in as many areas as my daily schedule can fill up. Throughout time here, I am able to express my selflessness towards others. I believe in Albert Einstein’s quote when he said that a life lived for others is a life well lived because it’s true. Obtaining this skill not only affects others, but myself as well and it continuously impacts my life on a daily basis. Lastly, these involvements helped me gain school spirit and on a daily basis, I am proud to say that I am earning my degree at North Central College. These acts and spirits will help me once that degree is earned when I step forward to a high school where I plan on teaching

    I chose to attend Wor-Wic Community College because of the support system that Wor-Wic has to offer.
