A Career As A College Student

Growing up, I was so excited to venture out and become a college student. I have always been an independent person, so I knew college would be a perfect fit for me. College can be one of the biggest, most important events in a person’s life and I wanted to experience that more than anything. I decided to attend college because a degree is required for the nursing field, I have always dreamed of being a college student, and I fear I would regret not attending later on in my life.
Having a degree for the nursing field is a must-have, so going to college was a no brainer. In the future, I’m hoping to become a Trauma/ ER nurse for a few years, and then advance to become a Nurse Anesthetist. As a nurse you must know the human anatomy, the purpose and dosage of medications, common procedures, the list goes on.

There are so many people that I’ve come across throughout my childhood that have told me they wish they would’ve gone to college. I feel like the reason people regret not going to college is because they missed out on so many life changing experiences that you could only achieve in college. For example, you really figure yourself out in college and determine who you want to be for the future. And that’s such an important factor in life in order to grow as a person. Tom Hanks once said, “While I was (in college) I was exposed to this world that I didn’t know was possible”, and that line really spoke to me and confirmed how important college really is. I also don’t want my future kids to wonder why I didn’t go to college and assume its okay for them not to. I feel like it would make them not have any goals to higher educate themselves and become prosperous in whatever they want to do. I want my future kids to be successful and happy more than anything, and I’m hoping that my going to college will inspire them to do the
