As the crowd watch their favorite team take the last shot as it seems it takes forever until the shot is made. The crowd goes wild millions of fans around the world are jumping up and down. Everyone goes home happy except a group of people. These people are the ones that brang all the excitement to the world. These people are the student athletes. Everyone won something, from the coaches that got the heavy paycheck to the billions made from the advertisements. At the end of the day everyone got paid except the people that millions watched. “Not only are students athletes not paid for playing their sports, they cannot receive gifts and are not allowed to endorse products”( Branch 2).The NCAA doesn 't give any money to the college athletes and they control what they can do with their brand name to insure that the college athletes stay broke .The student athletes are unable to get a job because of the time and ours got to spend and practice and practice and for school. It is against a contract to get any sponsorship from any third-party. This Causes them to not make any money at all. “The NCAA, an organization of colleges and schools, forces student athletes to sign away their rights because, it says, it is protecting the students”(Brown 45).The NCAA is trying to take control of all aspects of the student athletes. They are taking the freedom of speech from theses college athletes. NCAA treats the student athletes as toys that they are just meant to do one job, just to entertain and make money for the filthy billionaires that just want to make more money. College athletes put in so many hours in and not be rewarded.
