Some people still think that smoking relaxes, takes away the stress or it makes them fit into certain social group. Unfortunately these same people are the most aware of the risks of consumption and are very determined to quit smoking, but only if they feel ready to do so. The anti smoking campaigns have put their efforts in fighting these giant companies since 1962, when the first ad appeared on television talking about the risks of smoking. Sadly these campaigns were also affected by the censorship of tobacco advertisements and disappeared for decades at the same time. Today, we see these same campaigns appear constantly and some of them are even supported by government funding. The restaurants, bars, airplanes, theaters, are some of the public spaces that remind us that this practice is no longer supported by society in any way. Some prevention measures were even taken against smokeless tobacco products like the smokeless inhalers, better known as e-cigarettes. Gradually we see signs in these public places where it’s prohibited any kind of smoke practice, despite the fact that some of the new products do not cause as much damage to health as a regular cigarette would. Society has finally understood the consequences and realized that is not worth consuming harmful products without any purpose but pleasure. What lies in the future is a new way of thinking in society that would be the most successful campaign anti smoke. A thinking where the whole world would create a reasonable moral and cigarettes would disappear
