How would you feel if your favorite beverage was completely taken away from you. Flavored milk comes in multiple flavors such as chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and banana. Each one of those flavors contain 27 grams of sugar per serving. Chocolate milk can be detrimental because it is getting banned in schools, chocolate milk can be beneficial because it delivers many nutrients to kids and chocolate milk can be both detrimental and beneficial due to its healthy vitamins and added sugar. Chocolate milk is both detrimental and beneficial. The harmful sugars in flavored milk is detrimental because it is getting banned in schools. In the article L.A school district bans chocolate milk states that “Drinking chocolate milk is equivalent to eating a candy bar”. This proves that chocolate milk is unhealthy and shouldn’t be served in schools. On the other hand the L.A school district bans chocolate milk also says that “30% of our kids are on track for obesity and diabetes. This shows that children shouldn’t be exposed to so much sugar that is in drinks such as chocolate milk.
