Should Children Be Charged As Adults? Each day there are more juveniles committing crimes. A lot of people believe that in order to make the world safer juveniles need to be tried as adults when they commit a crime. Like many, I believed that if someone commits a crime they need to do the time. While that is true, juveniles need to do so in a facility with other minors, as well as within their own age group. Through police, court, and correction involvement the juvenile justice system addresses and deals with youths who have been caught and convicted of a crime.
