Images last week from an ISIS video appearing to show a child executing a hostage were horrific. The very idea of the "cubs of the caliphate," as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria dubs them, is stomach-churning.”) This statement and photos show that the children in the video are no more than 14 years old thus they would not have had enough experience in the world to make the right decision. (captaindarwin ) While some did this do to lack of experience while others did this because they were brainwashed by drugs and then threatened to kill or be killed.…

Most child soldiers don't know what to do because they're either too young or don’t know anything about war or guns. Here we will see where most child soldiers are at and were in the world they are or what is happening now or before they joined. I support That they should not go on trial because its not really their fault, because they might of being forced or did not have someone to live with and was brought into the child soldiers army. And Most of the Children were forced to join or they would get killed, also they might of grown up with someone who was in the army of child soldiers and wanted to keep going with child soldiers.…

The problem with all these child soldiers is not only getting rid of them but also whether or not they should not be punished. One controversial issue over the past couple of years has been the topic of child soldiers. On one side, people argue that child soldiers should be prosecuted. On the other hand, others contend that they should be given amnesty. My own view is that child soldiers should be given forgiveness for what they have done because they were forced into killing, they were manipulated, and they only had one choice once they entered the army: Kill or be killed. When villages are attacked and families are taken away for children, they don’t know any better and they believe that the commanders are the adults that they should trust.…

Furthermore, I consider child soldiers different from ordinary child criminals. Child soldiers, as I have mentioned earlier, are abducted and then forced into murdering innocent human beings. They have no choice if they don’t fight they're killed if they fight they kill. Child criminals, on the other hand, are not forced into killing innocent civilians; they do it through a motive, often weak ones, such as killing someone for their money. In 1998, Lionel Tate, a 12-year-old boy, was convicted of murdering a 6-year-old girl he was babysitting.…

When thinking of children, most see a young, innocent human, incapable of dark tendencies without being provoked. Others don’t see the mind, age, or body, but the murder or illegal act committed in another country as a child soldier. However, evidence from the I.C.C. (International Criminal Court), lives of these child soldiers, and the repercussions of not granting these children amnesty all show that child soldiers should be given a pardon for their convictions. Out of the I.C.C.’s 128 articles on crimes throughout the world, only a handful can be used to give evidence for child soldiers.…

No matter the situation child soldiers need to pay for their actions. Some kids will kill because they are forced but others are volunteering and wanting to get their hands on a gun and be able to use it to kill. The Child Soldier on Trial at Guantanamo article reads, “... he would recall how he had killed a U.S. soldier and that would make him happy. The implication, of course, was that Khadr was, in the words of one interrogator, ’cold and callous’”(Prasow 3/5). That little insert suggests that not all child soldiers regret the choices of becoming a killer and some actually enjoy the killing and shooting people.…

Some people think that they’re criminals, because they have killed hundreds. But, in reality they should have a chance to turn their lives around for the good. Child soldiers do not deserve amnesty because they were conscious they were doing harm to others. “Children should be held accountable for their crimes during conflict, because they knew they were killing people and did not stop” (Burg). This illustrates that children were aware they were murdering and knew that it was a terrible thing be taught but was even worse that these kids carried out with this job. What if they and they could kill a person today. These kids were under a ton of drugs, and they were brainwashed and were forced to or die.…
