Should Child Soldiers Be Allowed In War

Did you know that some children under the age of 10 are forced to serve in wars? Well it's true. In today's world there are over 30,000 child soldiers involved in some kind of warfare. Not only is it unfair but it is also cruel. Children in wars are used as fighters, cooks, suicide bombers, human shields, messengers and spies. Commander's force kids into war and then they try and kill the kids family and destroy their town so they can keep the kid in the war with them. When kids are forced to serve in war, they never know what's coming next. They don't just get hurt fighting in the war, but the pressure that is put on them often make them hurt themselves. Many end up killing themselves because they are unable to deal with their feelings of grief, guilt and shame. A lot of the children are raped and cannot find a partner within their community. So then they live in poverty the rest of their lives. If someone does not do what a commander says, they will get killed. Not only does the child in the war get hurt, but their family does too because the commanders go after his or her family. The commanders put drugs and gun powder in the kids food to give them power to fight. That is very dangerous for kids to inhale, especially kids under ten years of age. Some, as young as seven, commit unspeakable atrocities: killing parents and siblings, assaulting neighbors, torching the villages they once called home. Commander's force the kids to destroy everything of theirs so they can never go back to where they used to be.
