Should Catholic Priest Be Allowed To Marry

The last time a Catholic priest could get married was in the 1100’s. Ever since then they have not been able to get married or have kids. Why shouldn’t they be allowed to marry now? With the shortage of priest we have in the world, something needs to be done to eliminate this problem. If we look at this objectively, Catholic priests should be allowed to marry. There are many ways to fix the shortage of priest. Allowing Catholic priest to get married, would help recruit young men to become priests. It would be more desirable because they could still devote their life to God, but they could still have a wife and kids. They could help their family be more religious, get to heaven, and be a better person. That is the purpose of priest, helping other people get to heaven. Being a priest is a big job, and others simply don’t think they need the distraction. They would spend most of their time with their family and not as much on the church the way they needed to.
