Should Bethany had given up on surfing? No Bethany shouldn’t have given up on surfing because Bethany’s outcome was a great outcome. She never complained about her arm. She also still respected herself as of who she was. Bethany became even more talented and more acknowledgeable. Bethany’s parents also never downed her for of what she went through. On Halloween October 31, 2003 A young teen aged girl named Bethany Hamilton was in Hawaii surfing on the ocean. She was very prodigious surf and loved it. At the following time Bethany had an accidental tragedy. Than noon of the day Bethany was lying down on her surf board. As Bethany Laid on her surf board a shark approached her and bit her arm off by a Tiger Shark. She was with her Best friend Alana and Alana’s father Holt was with her. While her arm was bitten of Holt the father of Alana was the first to seek Bethany and also was the first to Approach Bethany. Once he reached Bethany he pulled her onto the Reef. When she reached the hospital she was able to live. Her parents and friends felt bad for her, but she knew that everything was alright. Bethany had to have surgery to Stitch the hole of her arm. She still remained calm. After the recovery of the surgery Bethany was okay. She felt bad many times and had to learn many new things with using one arm. At first it was kind of hard for her to do things with one arm but eventually she learned and learned to do things own her own. As of Thanksgiving of 2003 Bethany Hamilton was back on the ocean swimming again. She became an even better surfer with one arm. She still remained as the same person she didn’t change her personality or nothing. With that being said Bethany “Never Gave Up” on herself.
