One reason banning books is bad because protecting children from difficult realities is unnecessary. Something to think about is, “Young people are not that affected,if anything it opens up their minds to new things.” (“Banned Books Week 2016”). This quote means that kids need to know and hear about stuff in these books before it hits them in the real world.Also, this mean our minds will think differently when exposed to these kinds of literature. Also, “ Inappropriate content can bring humor to some people so if the content does not affect us that bad then why not get a kick out of it.” (“Butler University Libraries”).A little bit of inappropriate language is not going to hurt a kid they all have heard these things more than onces probably.
