Such laws would include mandatory background checks for the purchase of a firearm, a ban of handguns, or a ban of gun accessories like high capacity magazines and silencers. With the apparently recent rise of gun violence, some Americans blame guns and the lack of gun control for these acts of gun violence. Notably, gun control advocates argue that laws need to be implemented to prevent such atrocities; as there are many people who want gun control to implemented, there are just as many people who claim some of these laws are unconstitutional, ineffective and may only allow for more gun violence in the near future. Indeed, the implementation of Gun Control faces extreme opposition from flatlined gun violence rates, powerful lobby groups, the potential for guns to save lives, and the economic/social importance of guns.…

Even if the guns were banned, people could find others ways to murder others or commit suicides. More specifically, I believe that the guns are not the main problem here and that it is more likely the people behind them. For example, someone who does not have a mental illness would not just shoot up a bunch of little kids at an elementary school for no reason; Or the twin towers as Dalmia states in the passage is a very sad time but those people found a different cruel way to kill people other than using guns. Although Dalmia might object that some people just have bad days and make horrible decisions that affect others and their families for life. I maintain that guns are not the problem with all of the murders, and suicides.…

Some groups, such as the Brady Campaign, would like to see gun control laws take away some rights and restrict others, whereas the National Rifle Association would like to protect gun rights and educate society on the use of firearms. Both sides want to stop the problem of gun violence, but protecting gun rights is the only way to truly insure public safety. Gun control will not be able to stop the use of guns, and it will put citizens in an unfair situation where they cannot protect themselves.…

The push to ban guns will only keep guns away from law abiding citizens since criminals, by nature, do not follow laws and respect the gun free zones. The banning of guns in America should end.…
