Vaccinations According to the CDC, "732,000 American children were saved from death and 322 million cases of childhood illnesses were prevented from 1994-2014 due to vaccinations." ("Should Any Vaccines Be Required for Children?"). There are many parents with young children living in the United States. Those parents have the option to either have their children vaccinated or not. Growing up, my parents chose to have my siblings and me vaccinated and as a result we are all healthy. Many parents, similar to blogger Amy Parker from, Voices for Vaccines, and Christina Vara, from the blog Shot of Prevention, follow the CDC 's recommendation schedule and get their children vaccinated every year to prevent diseases in the future. My parents, like most, did the thinking for me. My parents thought it would be effective for my siblings and me to get vaccinations. There are parents out there, like my parents that vaccinate their children yearly. Especially, blogger, Amy Parker who has the same mentality as my parents had. Amy was not vaccinated as a child and experienced many complications from illnesses growing up (Parker). She states, "Not everyone has a choice, not everyone can fight those illnesses, and not everyone can be vaccinated." (Parker). In making this comment, Amy knows how difficult it is to deal with the childhood diseases and doesn 't want her children or other children to suffer like she had to. She thinks they 're ineffective for all children. Sarah, like Robin, agrees that the ingredients in all vaccines are filled with many chemicals and shouldn 't be injected in peoples ' bodies (Sarah). She believes that having these ingredients injected into your own body or your child 's body is not a way to enhance your child or yours health. Sarah questions why there are no studies comparing the health of vaccinated and unvaccinated children. She thinks it’s because the health of unvaccinated children would be better than the health of vaccinated children and then the topic of vaccinations would be done (Sarah). According to Sarah, "You can always get vaccinated, but you can never undo a vaccination."
