He fought against what he and his peers viewed as an injustice. A society develops their sense of justice over time, and the things that seemed just in the past, such as unequal treatment of people because of race or religion can change as a society progresses and grows. When communities are made aware of injustices being done to other members of society through movements like civil rights for example, their sense of justice can grow and be redefined, and the perceived just treatment of more members of communities leads to stronger communities and society at
