Albert Einstein once said: “Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” Through this statement, Einstein shows how important all living creatures are. Human or not they deserve to have a life they enjoy. Testing on animals takes their joy away. Once the public became aware that animals were being injured and killed from after being subjected to testing for human products, whether or not animal testing should be permitted has become a controversial debate. Some people think animal testing is a necessity for human safety. Other people think that animal testing is not essential, and harms animals unnecessarily. In comparing these arguments, the proper conclusion is that animal testing should not be permitted. Animal testing is not something that has to be done. Animals are abused and injured just so humans can more easily find products that they can use. This should not be allowed.

Many products that are tested are tested for safety reasons. According to the FDA about 48% of animal drug testing is successful The Biomedical Research Association has said that almost every single medical breakthrough in the past 100 years has directly come from animal research. While this may be true, however, it also shows that 52% of animal drug tests fail. Thus, animal testing is not valid a majority of the time. Moreover, while the research asserts that medical breakthroughs resulted from animal testing, that does not mean that such breakthroughs would not have occurred through other methods. Just because scientists have used animal testing is no proof of its

Introductory paragraph (introduces the topic) Attention-getter; Imagine, being taken away from your family, and living inside a crowded cage in a laboratory without ever seeing daylight again. Cosmetic testing on animals causes more harm than good because of the unnecessary pain inflicted towards the animal, increasing costs of animal testing, and the unreliable comparison between animals and humans. In my opinion, testing cosmetic products on animals is not a necessity. No animal should have to die because of volumizing mascara or coconut scented shampoo. Products used on the skin or near the eyes should logically already be safe and should not have dangerous ingredients in them that require testing. Europe, Canada, and even China have already banned animal testing for cosmetics and refuse to purchase products that continue to test on animals.…

Animal Testing Animal testing is starting to become one of the big worries in today’s society. While other problems come about every so often, such as abortion, they never tend to last more than several years. In contrast, the realities of animal testing have, reasonably, been a worry for informed animal activists for years, and it will continue to be a worry for many more years to come. Recently animal testing has been catching more public eye attention though. While scientists continue to use animals for testing, more people are realizing that it shouldn’t be done and it is pointless.…

Animal testing is cruel and harmful, the animals are not treated well and here is some reasons to back that up. The scientests at the center for research lock the animals in cages and from a video I watched of a real animal testing place, it showed all of the animals jammed into one room. This makes the animals go completely mental and thats not good. Next, they poke and squeeze everything out of them and they don’t even put them under, meaning they dont put them under anastasia so the animals are awake and in so much pain. Finally, statistics say that the total amount of animals killed each year is over 19,500,000.…

Animals should not be tested for barbering products because testing is cruel treatment to animals. Michele McKay states that “Animals endure chemicals being dripped into their eyes, injected into their bodies, forced up their nostrils or forced down their throats” (1). According to the article chemicals are put in there eyes which can cause them to become blind, injections can have dangerous side effects and the force feeding makes animals eat or digest things they usually would never eat. Animals go through it all in laboratories its like an animal jail but not only are they locked and poorly fed but even tortured to the point of death. The People of Ethical treatment for animals state that “The animals’ suffering begins even before they reach the vivisectors’ hands when they are ripped from their families and forced to live in bleak conditions” (1).…

It is important to consider that not all animals involved in experiments are harmed by the product being tested. In fact, it can be damaging to the experiment if the animals are treated unjustly because the animals’ stress level may affect the results of the experiment.…

As talked about previously, animal testing is very cruel, causes enormous amounts of pain, and unnecessarily kills many animals. Also, there can be some living alternatives for testing. It is believed that it is acceptable to abuse animals because their pain is not as important as human pain. This statement is very unethical and proves everything wrong in our world.…

After studying multiple views on animal testing I have come to realize my personal view has now changed since the start of my research. Before undergoing heavy study into animal testing I believed that all types of animal testing should be stopped, but now I believe that the idea is very beneficial and should only be done when the rights of the animal are considered. In the coming years, hopefully, more regulations can be passed to ensure that all animal’s lives are protected during experimentation. Although most animals are treated with care and no pain is dealt to them when undergoing testing, it would be a lie if I stated no animals are harmed during the process. Animal testing is extremely useful in developing life-saving drugs and medicine.…
