But who should go on the twenty-dollar bill? I have put much consideration into this issue and feel this person should be Harriot Tubman. She was an African American slave. She of course was born into slavery and her parents were slaves too. When she grew older she married a free slave Jonathan Tubman. They had a family of two kids. One day Harriot decided to escape because she was worried she would be sold in the south. Once she was freed she came back to help work at the underground rail road. This was a tremendous choice because if she was caught she would be hung. She also came back to help save family members. While she was working at the underground railroad she saved about three hundred people. She never once left anyone. She is brave, kind, smart and fair. She also supported woman’s rights and always spoke her mind. In all I feel that Harriet Tubman Should be on the Twenty-dollar bill. Although Jackson showed bravery. Harriet Tubman has shown so much more than that. She has proved herself worthy of being on the Twenty-dollar bill. I believe that it would also be great to have a woman on our currency. I hope you see the same and help make this happen. Harriet Tubman is truly a life

In my opinion I think Hamilton shouldn’t be taken off the bill because he served as George Washington’s most trusted aid during the war. Hamilton was also the head of the treasury. If it wasn’t for Hamilton, we wouldn’t have our money system we have today. As for Andrew Jackson the president on the $20 bill he should be taken off because he was known for his fierce opposition to the abolition and for his removal of the Native American from their ancestral lands.…

Throughout the course of history the general consensus has been that Canada was created primarily by men. Canadian women have often been forgotten, despite their vital contributions to the country’s education, economic, and social development. As a country, Canada has come a long way from the mindset that there were “no public advantages to be gained by” women holding jobs that would dare “offend the natural modesty of her sex” (Canada Law Journal [CLJ], 1896, p. 758) that were held previously. In this day and age, most women no longer have to deal with the constant oppression of the past; however, it is still important to acknowledge the impact of the females who did have to undergo said oppression.…

Harriet Tubman did many spectacular things throughout her life. She was a great leader, not only for African Americans, but for everyone. There were many things that tried to stop Harriet, for example: bounties, and the Fugitive Slave Law, but no matter what-Harriet succeeded. Harriet Tubman was one of America’s very first civil rights activists, escorting 300 of the estimated 60,000 slaves that escaped the iron grips of slavery. These missions made her one of America’s most iconic heroes. In her time period, this was a title unheard of for women and blacks, making this an achievement especially astounding for Tubman. The influence she built through many efforts in the fields of equality dissipated through America and contributed to a fight that paved the way for the enduring and current struggle against racial oppression still in the country today. The legacy of Harriet Tubman first begins with the establishment of Jamestown in 1619 when ships mainly from the African west coast brought the first generation of enslaved Africans to America.…
