According to the dictionary, abortion is the termination of pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo. The purposed argument of whether or not abortion should be legal in today’s society has recently been brought up for discussion. As in most cases, there are many who view abortion as something that is done to just get rid of something that could be seen as an accident or inconvenience. However, for those who look past that it can be seen as something that is painful for not only the woman undergoing the process but for the unborn baby as well. Abortion is a very complicated action, an action that can have a big risk, can cause a lot of pain, and lastly is a very selfish act. Many researchers have shown that choosing abortion as another option rather than actually having a baby can have huge problems and risks for the woman having this surgery. “Abortion is a life changing event with physical risk, such as heavy bleeding, infection, damage to organs, and even death” (Pregnancy Decision Line). This quote is straight forward and to the point, if a woman is willing to take the chance to abort a pregnancy she must be willing to deal with the risks that goes with her decision. Abortions are often times seen in society as something that can be done to get rid of a bad choice in a person’s life. An example in which could take place in a real-life situation is when a teenage girl gets pregnant and neither the girl nor the boy, are capable of…
