Sarah Palin's Argument Against Abortion

In the pro-choice ad we are informed about a young teen being raped. The girl is telling the audience about how governor Sarah Palin believes that the government should be able to force her to carry the pregnancy to term. She almost starts to cry as she is explaining how she did not choose to be raped and end up pregnant. Moreover, she cries as she claims that she should at least be given a right to make the decision of either keeping or aborting the baby ready to grow inside of her. Due to the tragic circumstances in this one ad that talks about only one out of the trillions of tragic rape incidents, it is easy to argue that abortion should remain legal. The decision to get an abortion should only be in the hands of the woman who is pregnant or her guardian if she is a minor. Abortion is defined as the conscious termination of a human pregnancy. Women should not be able to have numerous abortions in one year and use it as a “birth control”. The government and/or doctor’s offices should be in charge of keeping track of women’s abortion records. This is because abortion is expensive and the United States can’t afford to be wasting money on abortions that are necessary. Women should require a reason and proof in order to be qualified for an abortion. If the female is underage, her guardian should be present and also present a reason for the abortion.
In conclusion, abortion should remain legal. The right to decide whether or not to get an abortion should only be given to the pregnant women or her guardian. For the sake of the mother’s health, financial status, and for the wellbeing of our society, it is clearly a better decision to support the pro-choice movement. A baby is a blessing and should not be born to be a burden. As a democratic nation, we should all be more open-minded to the different circumstances that women find themselves in while
