It is a tragic and a true emotional disease that can take the life of anyone. However, in order for the diagnosed individual to beat cancer, they must undergo chemotherapy and radiation. Breast cancer is one cancer that affects the breast area. There are treatments that are offered, however, some treatments are harmful. “Chemotherapy is not given to the individual during the first trimester due to drug related birth defects” (Komen). There is also a disease called Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) that is “diagnosed during pregnancy and can result in pregnancy complications” (Pregnancy Complications). Anemia is another harmful condition that can result in complications and is life risky. There are numberless complications that some women can have that may be life threatening. Therefore, in life and death situations women should have the right to state whether they want to live or die. I know there are countless people that use kids as materialistic things. There are different kinds of abuse such as: physical, medical, and emotional. Physical neglect is “failure of the guardian to provide necessary food, shelter, or any lack of appropriate supervision” (What is Child Abuse and Neglect 3). No child should need to starve. The maximum neglect that I have seen is medical neglect. Babies, especially newborns, need proper care to keep them healthy. Without proper medical or mental health treatment something life threatening can happen to the baby. Finally, emotional neglect means that there is inattention to the child’s emotional needs.
