Soccer is a physical sport that is played with eleven players on a grass or turf field. The eleven players are categorized into four major positions: forwards, midfielders, defense, and the most important position on the field, goalie. The field is marked with several lines. It is a 130 by 100 yard rectangle with a midfield line, and a six-yard box inside an 18 yard box on each end of the field. The goal is eight feet high by eight feet wide.

If she does give up a rebound she must make sure it is out to the sidelines because most of the offensive people will be in the middle of the field trying to score. When you give up a rebound, you want to quickly get your body on the ball. Getting up after saving one shot and giving up a rebound is the hardest thing, because you can only get up so fast. In most cases the rebound will go too far away from the goalie for her to be able to jump on it. So in this case, the goalie needs to get up as fast as she can, get on her toes, and slowly break down the angle towards the ball. If an opposing player is coming towards the ball, you want to get as close as you can to her so she has less of a goal to shoot at.
