Short Term Goals

In ten years, I want to be working full time as a Human Resource Manager. I hope to be working in the St. Mary’s county Maryland area. I hope to gain this position working for the government or a contractor for the government. In St. Mary’s they have a Navy base and I think this would be the perfect place to share my love of helping people.
In five years, I want to be working full time as Human Resource Manager. I hope to be working for a copy that can help me move up to my ten year goal by this time. I would like to still remain in the southern Maryland area where I reside now. I chose this goal because I think it would give me a great jump start and finally gaining the job that can help me be financially stable and provide for my family. …show more content…
I plan on graduating in December of this year. I am taking my last two classes that are required to graduate. After December I will have an associate degree in Human Resources. I am also currently updating my resume to include my college degree and making it more desirable to employers.
I will know that I have reached these two short term goals within the next year. Soon I will reach my graduation goal and will know this when I have been handed my degree and also walked across the stage to receive it. Finishing writing my resume to be more desirable will be harder to measure. I hope to know this by getting job offers within the next year.
To help me reach my goal I will need lots of support from my daughter and husband. They are the two people that keep me going when I just want to give up in the past. I will also need financial stability to be able to reach my graduation goal and be able to pay back student loans in another 8 months. This I hope to be able to deal with by keeping my current full time job to continue to pay the bills.
