When I was in 2nd grade, I had the long term goal of graduating high school, and up to this day I would consider that one of my now short term goal is to graduate high school. Before I am able to graduate I want to set myself to do well in AP Calculus by getting an 90 or higher. My grades are really important to me. I have several teachers tell us that grades are not important and what really matters is what you really know. They might be right, but I feel that my grade reflects on what I know and if I have an 80 that bothers me because that grade is telling me that I am not trying my hardest and that I am missing something.

Another short term goal is to start saving money. I consider myself a really good saver and I can save up a lot money with out wasting a dime for at least 6 months. Lately, I have been wasting money on things that are not necessary. I would also like to read a book. I have not read a book in over a

I always hear people say how people that do not travel would like to and those who do travel do not. I do not know if it is true, but so far I would enjoy to travel. Right now my top choice is Brazil. Spain, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Colombia, New England, France, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, are also in my travel list. I want to travel and learn about different cultures and interact with different people. I seriously get goose bumps, just thinking about traveling. Although I would enjoy being on plane for hours, I would certainly want to take a road trip all over the states. I am the type of person that likes to see different lifestyles.

There are different types of traveling. Kohn’s article “The Case against Grades” (Kohn, 2011) effectively captures the anxiety that most students have about grades. “In fact, students would be a lot better off without either of these relics from a less enlightened age” (Kohn, 2011) Kohn writes. I agree with Kohn’s position in this article because there were many days in high school where I remember skipping due to the fact that I didn’t fully understand what was being taught to me. I, in turn, grew anxious about not being good enough and started failing.…

The main goal I have right now is important because it affects my grade. It’s important to me because I'm going to need to turn in missing work. In order for my grade to stay up and not go down, I need to be consistent.
