Sure this drug can make you happy , or give you mental awareness but these are short term effects from the use of this drug. There are more negative long term effects than positive short term effects. Long term effects can include being extremely paranoid at random times. It can also increase your depression rate. You may be emotionally depressed at random times too. Your blood pressure and body temperature also increase. If you’re a user that has snorted you may have random nosebleeds and also have a loss of smell. If you smoke it your blood flow will be reduces with causes nausea at random period of times. Lastly , injecting , the worst form of using this drug. If you’re a user that injects the rate of the user catching HIV is extremely high. But even if you don’t use a needle , cocaine may increase your hormones and may make wrong decisions with another partner that is infected and catch HIV. Believe it or not kids as young as 8 years old do cocaine like it's a normal thing. About 1.8 million children age 12 and up use cocaine. Cocaine is really harmful drug that can lead you to the hospital due to overdosing. Overdosing is ingesting more of a drug (doesnt always have to be a drug such as heroine ) than what the normal would be if you were to do it. About 505,224 hospital visits were made in 2015 due to overdosing on just cocaine. But nearly 1.3 visits were made overdosing on drugs in 2015. There are some things you can do to treat cocaine abuse. Such as behavioral therapy or by motivational incentives where the user is rewarded for doing certain things like for example not doing it for 3 days. The user can also go to a therapeutic community where the user can talk and express themselves with others that have different and or similar drug abuse. Most of these things are through therapy since there are no government approved treatment or medicine to treat or calm the user with the cocaine abuse
