Delia is a hardworking wife that gets abused on a daily basis. Her husband, Sykes, has been beating and cheating on his wife for a long time also saying how he doesn’t need her and always spitting insults in her direction. Sykes catches a rattlesnake and puts it in a box and leaves it in a house just so scare Delia. One day Sykes gets bit by the snake and while he is dying all Delia does is watch as he calls for help and says he needs her even after all the things he said. Delia was right to do what she did. Sykes was a very abusive husband and didn’t care or want anything to do with his wife until he needed her most. She would always put up with his harassment and beatings and she finally gave him what was coming for a long time.
