Short Summary Of A Young Goodman Dialectical Journal

Decent Essays
I most definitely agree with you! This entire story seemed very strange. Goodman had supposedly left his wife after she asked him not to. While he was in the woods Goody and Martha had brought a lady who had been robbed to Goodman. Ironically, it was Goodman's wife, Faith. I like how you pointed out the fact that everyone around him was very religious, although he experienced a satanic festival. The end of the story was the main reason I said it was a dream. Everyone in the village acted like nothing had happened. Goodman, on the other hand, was the only one acting strange. Faith had been robbed, therefore I would think that she would have been acting a little strange as well. I think that he was regretting the decision to leave Faith alone
