I would simply write him a note or speak to him in person regarding each note that he left. I would let him know that I feel that certain letters should be addressed to the proper staff and that everything should not be blamed on me. Especially issues that I may have little control over such as the meal selection and the housekeeping. Even though the way George feels that everything is my fault I would work with him to try and find solutions for each of his issues to the best of my ability. I would also let him know that I do my best everyday just like he feels he does his best to support the other shifts working before me and after me. I can definitely see how the issues in the case study can affect the afternoon staff and the overall function of the unit. These interruptions can make things not go as smoothly as one would like. For one, if the residents are not happy with the food they have to eat they may not eat at all. This could be dangerous to them if they are not eating. This issue could also make the residents uncompliant with other aspects of their care like taking their medications and participating with their scheduled therapies. The residents being uncompliant can make the shift harder and longer for the afternoon nursing
