Victor seeks the mountains for healing, and finds none other but the creature waiting there for him. The creature tells Victor his story, and his despair over the rejection of him by the cottagers he had taken interest in, because of his hideous appearance. The monster requests a female companion, and Victor agrees. Halfway through the creation of the female, Victor decides to destroy her. When the monster finds out Victor has destroyed his female companion, he promises to make an appearance at Victor’s wedding with Elizabeth. The wedding day comes, and Victor is ready to fight back when the monster finally appears, but the creature decides to kill Elizabeth instead of Victor, and the grief and despair of losing Elizabeth causes Alphonse, Victor’s father, to die. Victor makes a vow to hunt down the monster and kill him when he finds Walton and his crew in the Artic. A few days later after the conclusion of his story, Victor dies. The creature appears to the boat and is devastated and horrified at his masters passing. The creature tells Waltion he is going to the North Pole to die, where no one will find him, because life is more painful than death, and sails into the
