Usually Rainbow and Twilight spent time together in the living quarters, but never anywhere else in the library; and it was mystifying to the pegasus since the library had more than three floors. Fret not, though. Twilight had insistent that Rainbow join her on the wooden balcony—illumed by the brilliant white moon and the star-painted—where they could both endure the spectacular night together, and talk about the thoughts that were on their mind.

When the two ponies reached the balcony, only one had a surprised mark on the face: Rainbow. There was a large blanket, overtop a pad, neatly laid out, a bottle of sparkled water, and two empty glasses, all courtesy of Twilight.

“Surprised, much?” Twilight said.

Rainbow lowered a hoof right down to Twilight’s cutie mark, which provoked Twilight to break it off. Pulling back from the passionate kiss, Twilight said, “Hold on. Are you sure you’re ready for this? I mean, I know you don’t want to rush things, and—”

“I know what I said, Twi,” Rainbow said, pinning Twilight down in a friendly manner. “But I can’t help but take you right now. I love you, Twilight.”

“Oh, Rainbow Dash.” Twilight rekindled the heated moment by pressing her lips against the pegasus’s; and even though Twilight was uncertain that this was something Rainbow genuinely wanted, she couldn’t say no to her.

Once more, however, Twilight broke the kiss and, using her magic, lifted the blanket from underneath them and covered their bodies, leaving only their heads exposed. Resuming the moment, Twilight dived on in by planting kisses all over Rainbow’s neck, though it was particularly arduous given the position she was in; so she switched positions with Rainbow, who was now on the bottom, while Twilight was on top of
