Short Story: Theodosia Home

It was a calm sunny evening in The Ivory coast, just about 9 days before Christmas Day. Mom left to go to work while she left Sylvia and her younger sister, Theodosia home. That day, Sylvia and Theo made plans to go to the market, and buy food for the house. As Sylvia was getting dress to go out, she suddenly started feeling unbareable pain in her stomach and back. She then notice a clear watery substance running down the bottom of her legs. The pain became so strong that she couldn’t stand up on her own anymore. She called for help as she drag towards the door. “Help Help somebody Help Me”, she yelled . Her sister Theo ran to her rescue as soon as she heard her screams. She interdmediatly knew that her sister was in labor and had no time to waste. …show more content…
Mom left work as fast as she could. She was beyond excited that she would be recieving a grandchild, not only that but she woud be deliviering her daughter as well. She made in home within 10 mintines, she then checked sylvia right away to see if she was actually in labor. To her surprise, Sylvia was juist 2 cm dalited, what a long way to go, Then She and Theo both transfer Sylvia to the delivering room wher She was put on medicine and mom stayed by her side checking her often to make sure everything was
