Kevin just sat there in disbelief that his dad wouldn’t pay for some classes he wants for Cromwell.

"Dad please, at least give me one chance to prove to you that this will make Cromwell more obedient, Please dad."

Kevin was sure that if he begged, his dad would allow him to take Cromwell to classes.

"Kevin I said no, and you know that I don’t like to repeat myself more than once.

Kevin was furious that his dad wouldn’t let him take Cromwell to classes. All Kevin wanted to do was to stomp out of the kitchen and go to his room without talking to anyone. But Kevin knew he couldn’t do that because if he did, he knew that he would be grounded

He continued to read the papers when he saw the name of the competition. He quickly ran up back to his room with the papers still in his hand, thinking it was the apple. He got up and noticed that he left the apple on the kitchen counter and the papers were in his hand.

"If my dad finds out I have these papers, he will completely change his mind and not let Cromwell go to the competition."

He got his apple from the counter and put the papers back on the counter. He went up to his room, ate his apple, and went to sleep.

*The next morning*

"Kev, wait up."

"Yeah dad?"

"I have something to tell you."

"What is it dad?"

Kevin knew that his dad was going to tell him about the papers to the competition, so he had to get ready to act surprised.

'So Kevin I know that you really want Cromwell in this competition. It broke my heart to see you get so sad and angry because of my fault."

"Dad its fine, it’s my fault that I got so mad and left the table. I’m sorry."

"No worries son. Anyways, back to my good news."

“Come on dad, tell me already.”

"Do you really want Cromwell in that competition?"

"More than anything in the world dad."

"Ok, good because he is already entered and ready to start training on

Howie hesitated.

“Cromwell’s new uniform he has to wear when he goes to the field!”

"Cromwell gets is own uniform!?" Mom said.

'Howie how much did this all cost you?"

"About," Howie hesitated.

'Howie I’m not going to ask you again how much did this all cost you!"

"It all cost me, $1790 dollars"

"whoa dad, don’t you think that is a lot of money?"

"Kevin you are so right" Mom responded 'I totally agree with you that we should cancel this whole entire thing?"

"Mom no, that is not what i meant!"

"Kevin I’m sorry but we have to do this. This competition is too much money for my liking?"

"Not again with the yes and the no." Kevin said.

"Kevin?" Mom asked

"Yeah?"

"Where is Cromwell?"

"Oh no..." Kevin responded

“We have to go look for him dad!”

“Kevin, calm down I know where he is, follow me.”

“Dad, I think I can hear Cromwell snoring.”

And there was Cromwell, Sleeping in Kevin’s bedroom in all out his dirty clothes.

“I guess all that running finally got to him.” Mom said.
