Short Story: The Queen Of Lias

"You damn-!" Losing her queenly aura and lashing out with slurs of crude invective, Celes snapped her eyes to where she thought the bear was (the darkness concealing his small form) shouting with now bloodshot eyes, some of that redness from some restrained tears, but the Queen of Liars would never admit something like that.T

"Now, now; if you're going to act like that, perhaps I should call you Yashuhiro."

Celes froze up upon hearing her real name being called out to her by Monokuma, herself considering the best course of action after losing her temper in such a way. "You can, and will." The glowing eye of despair shined in warning of the bear's next move.

The quiet noise of the cards abruptly was a omen to the bear's quiet rage at the gambler girl's constant defiance.

"I guess I'll have to show you I'm being serious now." The goofy, squeaky voice of Monokuma was gone; replaced by a vicious growl-like voice of fiery temper.

Ccllicckkkkkk

One massive twist of the crank.

One hellish jolt of the rope.

One high-pitched, girly gasp from the Queen of Liars.

With that rare and feminine squeal elicited from Celes, she was slowly being let down from her painful suspension with a chorus of popping threads. The damage had been done to her underwear, the fabric had given under the over-taxation from being caught between Celes' legs and pulled up and away by its own coiling.

It was quite surprising that those expensive designer panties lasted as long as they did, but for all their exquisite style and fanciness, they were nothing but a mangled mess of white lace and black

The last vestiges of fall had passed and only brown, shriveled leaves remained on the sidewalk. Trees appeared naked, shivering without their blanket of color. Cold air blew through their skinny, lifeless branches, tossing the trees around as though they were mere sticks rather than giants. She shuddered as the chilly wind kissed her brow, leaving a wretched disease of ice and sorrow in its wake. Within this wintry prison there was no joy, there was no warmth, and, above all, there was no diversity.…

It was Imbolc, about a month after Yule ended. By this time, the worst of the biting cold had normally passed, but not this year. It appeared as if winter would linger in Camelot, and a protracted winter tended to put the kingdom’s residents in a foul mood. Since tempers were short, there had been a large-scale fight at the mill in the Lower Town. A group of young men argued about their places in line, an altercation erupted, during which property was damaged, and a fire started thanks to a brazier that had been knocked over.…
