Short Story: The Lonely One

Swoosh! Bang! Pow! The man hits Lavinia in the gut with a baseball bat. She falls to the floor and with a thud, she hits her head on the doorknob and is now unconscious. The Lonely One covers her face with a mask and ties her hands behind her back. He turned off the lights, picked her up, and threw her over his shoulder. He checked to make sure the coast was clear and then carried her to his car and put her in the back seat. What he did not know was that as he shut the door Francine was calling, and when Lavinia did not answer, she called Helen and they headed towards Lavinia’s house.
When they arrived, they found the baseball bat that The Lonely One hit Lavinia with. They found this awfully strange because Lavinia did not play any sports

He had had enough. So, he pulled out a gun and put it to her head. She began crying because she didn’t know what else to do. He asked her again, “Where did you put the money?”
However this time she didn’t reply. She just sat there bawling her eyes out. Right about that time, Helen and Francine bust through the door with guns pointed at The Lonely One and Cartavius.
In unison, they both shouted, “Drop the gun!”
Instead of dropping the gun, The Lonely One went behind Lavinia and put the gun to her head. There was a stand off, nobody doing anything. Finally Helen took the movie. Bang! Helen shot Cartavius in the forehead and he fell to the ground. This shook Francine.
“I thought we weren't going to shoot anyone?” asked Francine.
“Plans changed. And you’re next Lonely One,” replied Helen.
“Let her go or you are next,” she screamed at the Lonely One. He would not budge. He still crouched behind Lavinia with the gun to her head. Francine was beginning to get fed up with all this fuss, so she made the move. She shot the Lonely One in the foot and he fell to the ground. She then shot him again, only this time she shot him in the heart and he was
