I truly think that my drawing is a perfect image that you as a reader receive from the story. The material I used to be able to create my drawing were just two things a pencil and a stretched canvas size 12 x 16. To accomplish this drawing I had to reflect on what I read and remember little details that the unnamed narrator described. In the story when the narrator arrives at the House of Usher he describes a creepy looking house. I used that part and first drew a mansion that look old and creepy. I drew a mansion from the 1839 which was also the year that the short story “The Fall of the House of Usher” was published by Edgar Allan Poe. I also drew two medium size leafless trees one on the left side and one on the right side. The house is in the middle of the two leafless trees. Then I drew a horse on the left bottom of the canvas. In the story it says that the unnamed narrator rode his horse to the House of Usher. After I drew the horse I started to draw a man and the man represents the unnamed narrator or better known as Roderick Usher”s boyhood friend. Then I drew a crack coming down from the roof to the front of the house. Last but not least I drew three clouds above the mansion and they vary in size one of the clouds is wide and the other two clouds are both medium size and look fluffy. I decided to not add color to my drawing because the story is obscure. With my index finger I smeared the drawing which added a greyish and fogyish effect to the drawing. The smearing also adds sublime to my drawing. I mainly focused on smearing in the area where the clouds are at and around the leafless
