Far too soon, they arrived at the Everetts townhome. Williams announced them into the drawing room and they were greeted with warmth and delight. The Count exclaimed, “Tell me Mr. Turner, how did such ordinary fops like us obtain two such magnificent wives?” “All tricks and magic your Grace. Nothing else can account for it” Joseph smiled warming to subject. “Ordinary fops?” Blair re-joined “One would hardly call a Count and world famous artist ordinary”. “Oh, I see Joseph. Blair married me for my title and Mrs. Turner for your fame and glory!” “Nonsense.” Elizabeth answered joining the fun, “Blair married you for your money and I married Joseph for his, a-hem, shall we say hidden talents” and promptly turned pink from embarrassment while …show more content…
They weren’t young for one thing; they were mature, seasoned adults. The clothes they wore spoke of modest wealth and the dress Juliet wore looked remarkably like the dress she once wore to tea. The story unfolded with the couple falling in love but rather than the couple being divided by family, the key to their struggle was a Machiavellian character named Lady Slitherings. “Romeo, I dread discovery of our love will unleash the dragon in all her wrath. She blames me for her lost love. She will blacken our name and taint it with words of disdain and vulgarism. I cannot bear it. We will be shunned and not able to so much as walk in the village without revilement and derision”. “Fair Juliet, then let us marry before God, for there is no truer judge of our souls and hearts than he. And we will bear the infamy together but know the purity is blessed by a power far greater than …show more content…
“Fair Juliet, I cannot bear it... I will take you away; we will live quietly somewhere secluded from the world and all its earthly, iniquitous intentions”. And then Romeo rose distraught and ragged and faced the crowd while the menacing Lady Slithering hunched in profile away from him, pen in hand. “I fear I will lose her to this lowly place. There seems no honor and is riddled with charlatans and prevaricators. I c-cannot … go on without my fair Juliet. Perhaps we were too happy, our love too great. Mayhap it is a good thing if we die and enter a far better kingdom”. His eyes implored the crowd. “Which shall it be?” And with that Lady Slithering eyed the crowd in a menacing glare side by side with

The two star-crossed lovers in Romeo and Juliet appear to have a relationship that entails emotions that date back for years, when in the grand scheme of it all they were only together for a couple of weeks if not months. The decision that I found to be particularly hasty was Romeo's decision to commit suicide. I believe that this decision was impulsive and fueled by Romeo's emotions. It lead to not only his death but his lover Juliet as well. If Romeo had been more thoughtful instead of letting his grief and desperate thoughts overwhelm him, he could of created a different ending for the play, one not as tragic. Before Romeo made such a decision, he had been waiting for Friar Lawrence in Mantua to send him news of the uplifting sorts when Balthazar had told him that Juliet had died.…

In Conclusion, I think that Romeo is a young, inexperienced and impatient but loyal and brave boy. I think that his naivety plays a huge rule in this because love was taken as an extravagant feeling to have when it was not truly happy as the lovers can experience heartbreak and many other obstacles. It seems as if Romeo only more cautious and deliberate, his devastating ending could have been prevented (even though we have not finished the book yet). Amongst friends especially Mercutio, Romeo shows signs of his social and quick witted persona, even with his fond of verbal jousting that is mainly about sex. Lastly, Romeo is like every other male in the world who only unveils their true self to the people who they trust or who understand them.…
