She wasn’t going to expect him to pay for them anyways since she was planning on throwing them away, only to put a fresh batch on for the people who would inevitably be coming into the store during lunch hours. Besides, she knew that if she had asked him to pay for them, he would’ve just started in on his song-and-dance about how old they were, and how she was just going to be throwing them away soon, that they were no longer servable to the public.
