“None, of your beeswax.” replied Lovienthal bombastically, his arms akimbo. “Look guys, I gotta go. I don’t have time to waste on you two losers. Some of us have to go to work. Where not all spoiled little brats like the two of you, who have our mommy and daddy wiping our butts all day.” After snickering at and mimicking Lovienthal, Morgan said, “What the hell you talking about gotta go to work?” followed by his brother adding, “You mean, you gotta go down to the welfare office and get some more of our parent’s tax money.” which was quickly followed by him giggling at Lovienthal even though he wasn't completely sure of what welfare was, but had heard his brother mention it derisively several times in the past. “Hey, …show more content…
His hanging jowls shaking vigorously leaving clear, tenuous, coagulated vines of saliva all down the side of Ruby. After a while of listening to the sound of Ruby’s motor knock and stewing over his altercation with Morgan and Riley, Lovienthal tried to purge himself of all his frustrations by taking several deep breaths when he became stopped at a light. But when he couldn’t get what the boys had said to him out of his mind, he figured that some music might help, so he turned on the radio. The fox 92.9 was playing Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir one of his favorite songs, and it instantly caused Lovienthal to go into head banging rock-out mode, swinging and snapping his head back and forth while he played air guitar and drums. He hadn’t notice when the light had turned green, and after a few seconds of him not continuing his journey the impatient motorist behind him in a monstrous black SUV started laying on his horn in frustration. “Come on, move that piece of shit!” the man shouted from out his …show more content…
She wasn’t going to expect him to pay for them anyways since she was planning on throwing them away, only to put a fresh batch on for the people who would inevitably be coming into the store during lunch hours. Besides, she knew that if she had asked him to pay for them, he would’ve just started in on his song-and-dance about how old they were, and how she was just going to be throwing them away soon, that they were no longer servable to the public. But he would voluntarily put his health into jeopardy like some martyr, as to not see food having gone to waste. So, she knew there was no point in having that conversation again. She’d been down that road
