Kather laughed quietly.
"Thanks." Kather put his left hand over Lazzera's hands. "Cain is coming to get you Sunday night. He says Jax is going to take you somewhere to help you become more like a human."
"Okay." Lazzera smiled, grabbing Kather's hand. Kather leaned back into Lazzera, moving his head to look at her.
"Thank you." He whispered.
"For what? I haven't done anything." Lazzera whispered back.
"You listened to me. You let me tell you about my drawings." Kather whispered once more, kissing Lazzera afterwards. When he pulled away, they both smiled. "I love you."
"I love you too, Kather Collins." She kissed him again.
"You should know, my name is actually Kather Drew Collins. My brother got to choose my middle name. Self-centered brat." Kather laughed.
"Well then, I love you. Kather Drew Collins." Lazzera streched out his name. Kather smiled, and then there was silence. - - - - - - - - -

"What?" Kather questioned her sudden thought.

I know your sights, and I know your fears. Kay, it's been months and you've already climbed so far into this. This... this thing. I want to know if you're afraid to fall. So, Kather Drew Collins, are you afraid to fall?" Lazzera looked up at Kather who was already staring down at her. Kather thought for a moment. That moment turned into minutes as he looked away. Lazzera looked away as well, looking back down at the water. Those minutes turned into nearly twenty minutes before someone spoke again.
"No. I'm not afraid to fall." Kather's voice was quiet. Lazzera looked back up at him, seeing him looking out over the trees.
"You're not afraid to fall." Lazzera spoke back to him. "I am. I'm afraid of getting hurt." She looked at the trees again. This time, Kather looked at Lazzera. He smiled, looking at her with love in his eyes. He leaned over, balancing on the wall behind him before pulling Lazzera into his arms. She was surprised in the beginning, but in the end, she was leaning into his side. They didn't want to leave, so they just sat there, midnight falling. Neither of them moved from the place they were in.
