It was the Fall of 1963, Birmingham Alabama. At the park with my soul sisters Dennise, Carole, and Cynthia, I never expected it would be our last time playing together. Today is the day when all kayos broke. Besides today wasn't a good day, the leaves are falling, soul sisters and I are playing tag at the park. '' Tianee is it.'' Denise said. ''You finally caught someone?'' I said. ''Shut up you bed wetter!!'' Denise said. I went by the rusted merry-go round and counted. After, I was done counting I looked everywhere, under the slide, on top of the monkey bars, and behind a tree. Until, I saw two men talking behind the dark brown oak tree about bombing our local church I did not know who to tell, police or my pastor. That church is a symbol …show more content…
'' Hey!'' Dove said. '' No, time for hays'' I said. '' What is going on!'' Dove said. I'm looking around wondering how to explain to him. '' I just saw two men talking about bombing the 16th baptist church and I don't know who to tell, my pastor or the police'' I said. A slight moment of silence took place after I was done talking, I hope he was just thinking. '' I think it is best for us to tell Mr.Jhon, and see what he says'' Dove said. When they get to their church he says '' Good afternoon '' Mr. Jhon says. ''He looks like a messed up wrinkled sponge.'' Dove said. I stepped on his toe, to knock some common sense into him. The church was alive with this joyful presence inside. By the time we were done he did not believe us so we went to the police and sat in the station. ''Go, Go Go!''said chief. ''What is going on chief? '' I said. ''It has been a robbery on Mapple Street, we are taking down these robbers once and for all. Anyway, why are you here Tianee?'' chief …show more content…
The Chief showed me some pictures of two men that they just took in. ''Dove do these people look like robbers?''I said. Dove ran out so fast out of the police station, when he looked at the picture.
