“No, I’m going to win,” claimed Alex Boatwright to Nathan Smith. Nathan replied, “Well you are narcissistic.” Nathan and Alex have always been rivals in academics, since they were little. From spelling bees to test grades, or anything education related. Nathan loved to learn and always wanted to know what did what. Alex always had to get the better grade than everybody in the class, and always wanted competition. Yet he always wanted to win, and was sore loser. This time the boys were arguing about who can write the best short story, for a Creative Writing contest, and they had a week to do it.
Nathan was very creative and he knew he could write a fictional story easily. Alex was always the logical one, he didn’t have time to be imaginative he thought that it was a distraction, but he did confront Nathan about having a better story and

They both playfully flaunted about who had the best short story. When they got there they went to the judges table and submitted their stories, and waited in the seats that were provided. After ten minutes one of the judges went up onto stage and thanked all the participants and how they gave time to write. Then she announces the winner, “This year we did not only have one winner, but two winners, Nathan Smith and Alex Boatwright.” The boys looked at each other and rushed up there on stage to accept the blue ribbons. They said their thank you, and Alex made a thoughtful gesture, “I want to thank someone who helped last minute, my friend Nathan,” Nathan then indicated, “No, not his friend, his best friend.” From that day Nathan finally understood what his parents said by being imaginative, because he knew that it was hard for some to think. Alex learned that he didn’t have to take everything seriously, but to use imagination. The two best friends now share with each other their knowledge and when they had the opportunity, they partner up to be two great
