Prompted by more than one ricocheting reason, Luke considered that he perhaps he had underestimated this rebel pilot. Certainly, it had little to do with the fact he’d remembered his co-pilot, a brother in arms. Rather how Luke dismembered Wes in light of new possibilities. Right. That blasted rebel scum was someone who eagerly waited for Wedge’s return in the cells... Taking everything into account, there wasn’t a way he could lose both sources of crucial information. Should Wedge fail to provide him Solo’s location The Empire incessantly called for, in some way or another, Luke needed a means for leverage. Of course, one that didn’t directly concern the Corellian’s life. Clearly, Wedge proved his loyalty time and again. Luke would …show more content…
To have someone like him under his ranks? The faint conception spun itself into the fragile but promising immensely idea that it was. As he carded through the masses, composing the right words, what would was best and most pleasing to hear, Luke smiled sweetly. ❝What about him?❞ He threw up an arm and gestured at random, as if they spoke of the weather than of a life-form’s due fate. ❝I have no particular plans for him myself. However, as an enemy of my father, he will stand in fair trial for his crimes against The Empire. Until a Corellian representative, or whoever Jason wishes to represent him, comes along, he will remain imprisoned for his crimes.❞ At first, the corner of his mouth tugged near imperceptibly, yet he frowned all the same. ❝Though, if you wish to represent him because of your nobility… Under normal circumstances, you are granted this privilege to represent your people — … but I’m afraid I cannot allow you do that this time. You led the counter attack on Bela Vistal.❞ Fact. What he stated was simple fact. ❝I’ve exempted you from your crimes, Antilles, but I am unable to do the same for Janson.❞ Rising from his seat, Luke extended an arm, eager to divert Wedge’s attention from his friend. ❝Your friend is in good hands, I can promise that. Now come, Antilles. This is hardly the place to negotiate such sensitive matters. We may discuss more

In “Film as Art and Psychology: Cool Hand Luke as Exemplar," Frank Barron employs a metaphorical comparison between religion and movies to claim that Cool Hand Luke is “about the Passion and Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ” (102). He substantiates his claim with in-depth mise-en- scène analysis, which does make Barron’s argument convincing, but to a certain extent. Barron highlights how Lucas Jackson’s figure movement and expressions symbolize that of Jesus Christ. For example, when he says “Luke is [seen] repeatedly stretching his arms akimbo, spread-eagled so that his body is like a cross” (102) after doing the unthinkable, eating fifty eggs. I do agree with Barron that Luke’s actions signify that of Christ; however the author focuses…

In the article “A Suicide at Twelve: ‘Why, Steve?” of Richard E. Meyer, the author narrates a whole life of a young boy whose name is Steve Dailey. Through the article, we could see the whole life of Steve from the day he was born to the day he chose a rope and bough to end his life although nobody, who lived around him, understood the reason why he had to kill himself. Therefore, the author still keeps a question “Why, Steve?” for the article. “Steve Dailey was born on July 30, 1961, in the Cincinnati suburb of Clifton.”…

The first difference between the two stories is the time of the century so the way they process crimes today is different from today’s criminal prosecution. In the “Lesson Before Dying” Jefferson was a black man in the 1940s with a murder crime, and in “Making a Murder” Steven Avery was a white man in the the late 1980s. Secondly, Jefferson was sentenced to death, and Steven was sentenced for 17 years for his first crime.
