Once upon a time... wait, wait, wait! Back up, this is NOT a fairy tale! Especially not how your thinking with the castles, royalty and magic. (well I guess there is a little magic, but, moving on) Nope, it is just a simple story about me, Briar Rose a normal seventeen year old girl with a normal life. Well, it was normal for about a seventeen years. I obviously can't remember much about being a child but, my story starts quite early. For your sake, dear reader, I guess I can relay the story my parents have been telling me for years, the reason my parents will only use plastic cups and wine glasses. You see, my parents own a large business that is known world wide, this means that they have A LOT of rivals and people who are jealous of them. …show more content…
I planed where I was going to start for this exact reason!... Oh, wait I know! So, let’s fast forward to just a few days before my seventeenth birthday. I was so excited I planned to throw a huge party and invite everyone from school. I had even alerted our chef, Lily, to make a extra large chocolate cake, my favorite! I had everything perfectly planned and even had an outfit picked out for the special occasion. I thought nothing would change and my plan would be carried out to perfection. Haha, how could I have though nothing was going to change? There are always last minute changes happening when you aren’t expecting them aren’t they? Well, for me there are. My life is always a little unpredictable (Since I was born actually. I Mean seriously? Magic?). On the second night before my birthday and the big party my parents made an unexpected phone call that caused my heart to skip a beat. Alright, sorry I should probably explain why this is unexpected. Okay, my parents are almost never home. What with the business trips and the conferences and the meetings they hardly have time for me and phone calls almost always meant that something was very wrong. My parent then burst into the kitchen where I was still lying on the floor.
