Angela King, Cissy Cox, to you those names might mean nothing. But for me, those are two names that turned my family upside down, those are the two names of people who got sucked into the life of drugs. Angela King, was a fairly good girl growing up, got into minimal trouble and cause little havic in the home, but as she got older things went downhill. Angela got addicted to Oxi. It seemed every other week she was back in the hospital or at the Doctors getting another perscription written for her. She was so out of it that if she didnt have the drugs in her system she couldnt even function. She came close quite a few tome to over doing, but there is one time in particular that stands out in the whole families mind, one time we will never forget.

You have probably heard the old saying “It takes a village to raise a child” (African proverb), similarly, it takes a team of healthcare workers to treat a patient. Often times we see many doctors, nurses, and support staff during the course of treatment and communication get lost or blurred. In the Josie King story, there were many things that went wrong during the course of her care, but the fundamental lack of communication was primarily responsible for her death. According to our textbook, negligence occurs due to “failure to communicate, including failure to notify a physician in a timely manner when conditions warrant it [and failure to] listen to a patient’s complaints and act on them” (Black 112).…
