Short Story Of Alyssa's Mistake

This is a story about Alyssa, the misunderstood, outspoken, and stinky skunk. Along with her best friend Charlie a caring, understanding, and friendly fox. Also their bully, Archie the rat. Our story begins in the playground of Battlefield Elementary in the year 2009. It was always hard in school for Alyssa and Charlie. They only had each other in this big animal outside world, but one strange day , Archie and the other cool kids had started to walk up to them as they swung back and forth on the squeaky swings. “Hey alyssa, hey Charlie!!” said Archie enthusiastically. “Uh hi?” Alyssa said with confusion. “Wanna hear a cool story?!?!” Archie said with excitement. “Yeah sure” said Alyssa while agreeing. “The craziest thing happened to me the other day. We had all gone to the sandwich hut and we saw a real live lion! The lion was so big it looked like it had 2 whole hippos for lunch! Lions don't even live around here, it was so rare. We saw a lion in Treehill city!” Archie said repeatedly. “Yeah that sounds pretty cool” Charlie said with …show more content…
Alyssa contemplated whether she should tell Charlie or not. Alyssa had soon come to a decision. “Charlie, I need to tell you something” Alyssa said. “Yeah, what is it?” He said with a sweet smile. “You're going to be mad at me, but I can't have you believe that I'm something I'm not anymore” said Alyssa. “What do you mean?” Charlie said as his sweet smile disappeared. “I lied. I lied about seeing the human. I just wanted you to think that I was cool...unlike the other animals” Alyssa said as she was about to cry. “Why would you lie to me?” said Charlie. “I'm sorry” Alyssa said with guilt. They walked all the way to Alyssa's house in silence. Charlie started to understand why Alyssa did what she did. She just wanted to feel cool.
