Short Story: Mom's Schoolbags

First of all, in the beginning, Greg is having a tough time since he stopped talking to Rowley (his best friend) because of this girl that is Rowley’s girlfriend and Greg is kinda jealous. In addition, all the stuff Greg and Rowley did, was gone and now his girlfriend, Abigail is literally making up Rowley’s decisions and making him more mature. Now, because of Rowley is hanging out with Abigail more often, Greg is pretty lonely and has tough times such as, when Greg needs Rowley to carry his heavy bookbag, he isn’t there, he’s carrying Abigail’s schoolbag. Later on, the school officially validates this thing called “Hero Points” where when you do something good and a teacher catches you, you get the pieces of paper to earn prizes but, people …show more content…
Then, Greg found a Magic 8 Ball under Rodrick’s bed and was inquisitive (curious) about trying to see whether it worked or not and starts using it to find out the answers to his math homework except it didn’t give him specific/precise answers. After that, his mom told him to spend time outside but then, he decided to hide in his mom’s closet where he found books that his mom used to make Rodrick and him to do something as a kid and along with that, he found about 7 decoys of the same stuffed animal Greg had. That night, Greg used some of the things from one of the books his mom used such as saying he didn’t want a phone because it took to much of a responsibility so then, she gave him her phone but then, he dropped it in the toilet while using the bathroom. When he went to school, he used the Magic 8 Ball to try to cheat on a test but he dropped it and the teacher found out, reported to Principal Roy, and he mentioned that his grades were sleeping and if he didn’t improve his grades, he would be sent to summer school which totally frightened him. Next, he was trying to boost his grades and joined the Yearbook Club and his job was to take pictures for the yearbook. Since Greg was trying to do well in his science class, he went to a guy who was Erick Glick to buy off a science project but, started getting “cold feet” so he ran off but after that, Erick and the people inside the room filled with projects got caught. Furthermore, Greg did his own science project but, forgot to types it and it was too late so then, his mother typed his science project surprisingly. When he came home from school, he threw out the Magic 8 Ball over his Gramma’s backyard since it
