Living Through The Dust Storm Of 1870

One afternoon in I saw the puff and it was black, “it’s back again I yelled”. I was sitting in my home shelter with my mommy Rachel, daddy Steve, brother Liam, brother Bostynn, sister Brynn sister Aaliyah and myself Jaycee. It was 1870 and we were in a very dirty dusty house because of the storm that just rolled through. It was a dust storm and we survived through it. Right before the storm came through mommy and daddy were supposed to get married. Then the storm rolled through. I felt bad because this was their big day and it didn't happen but they are going to try again today. I was the oldest kid in my family by a year so I had to keep track of all my brothers and sisters until after the wedding which was about to happen. At first we headed out for the wedding. Now was time for mommy and daddy to get married and I was very excited about that. So everyone sat through the wedding in the 120 degree heat outside in the middle of the plains. It did not really feel like it was that exhausting because we were having a fun time. Finally the wedding was over Then we went back in the house where it was not much

So we both got up and went outside in the front and there it was it had arrived again. The dust storm “ Black Blizzard”. So we got all the little kids in the room huddled together and towels over their face and blankets on top of them.Prior to that Then we went upstairs where mom and dad were and said, “the storm was arriving again”. So they came flying into the room were everyone was and I got 4 more towels for the rest of us and 3 more blankets for us to cover up with. My dad yelled at me and said, “get in the room because you need to stay alive”. So We all stayed huddled in a circle together and it was already hitting our house. I was hoping that this would not be for hours and hours again like the last one
