Lucina grew up in a small town off the coast of Puerto Rico. When she was 7, she was a victim of a hit and run accident. She was hospitalized until she was 9, shortly after she was diagnosed with liver cancer due to her mother drinking while she was pregnant. Most of Lucina’s life she was in and out of the hospital. Lucina didn't have a regular childhood like most children her age. As Lucina grew up she learned that she was different. One day Lucina was in the car with her parents then everything started fading away, when she woke up the next morning she was in the hospital.
