It was the middle of the night, and out of the corner of her eye, she could see the blinking numbers coming from her alarm clock. A nightmare woke her up, something from her past terrorizing her every time she went to sleep. She could scarcely remember her parents smiling faces from her childhood. She knew they were deceased, her family ripped from her grasp. It’s been almost ten years since their death, being that she was eight when they died. Since then, she’d been raised in several foster homes and never granted an authentic place she could call home. For people wanted younger kids to adopt and no one wanted to take in a disturbed child.
