Fai Jubono, a young male human, few of his kind, is searching the galaxy for treasure with his droid J6, a repurposed, round, and rusty engineering droid who now helps Fai scavenge the Yinnad galaxy for spare parts, which he then sells for credits. At this time, Fai and J6 are headed to the ocean planet Kee. This planet used to be all ice, but had melted due to Kee getting significantly closer to the sun. Now multiple boats have been submerged underwater, which so called treasure beneath them. However, dangerous species live in the water, so people need weaponry in order to get down to the shipwrecks. Here is where our story begins. “C’mon J, we gotta get on the salvage ship before it takes off!” This is Fai. He’s a human. If you didn't realize, that’s pretty rare around these parts. …show more content…
“Oh no… Keemanids.” Keemanids are the aquatic natives of Kee, and are very hostile and dangerous. It’s like combining a lion, with a shark. Actually, the man from earlier with the sharp teeth was a Keemanid. They eat almost anything they can get into, INCLUDING Fai. Their sharp teeth can tear through any material, even certain metals. Luckily, the engineers of the ship use anti-Kee metals, which make the ship just about the safest place to be, because Keemanids are slow, but they can walk on land. About 5 minutes later, Fai is lowered into the water with a massive, heavy suit of iron. Equipped with a laser sidearm, he simply sinks under the weight of the suit, to the bottom of the Kee Sea. He sees the girl from earlier somehow, speeding downward with the suit. Fai decides to devote this trip to following her. He and J6 can live without new items. Considering they only have about 10 consistent customers who bother to fly to the shop, he has junk piling up in his store. As he hits the bottom, Fai is overcome by the weight of the suit, struggling to keep himself
